What changes in Claude's response
CONTEXT explicitly tells Claude 'this is reference material, not the question'. Without it, Claude often answers questions about the context instead of using the context to answer your real question. With it, the context becomes invisible scaffolding — Claude reads it but doesn't react to it directly.
When NOT to use CONTEXT
Don't CONTEXT trivial background. Each load eats your context window — save it for the stuff that genuinely changes the answer.
