How to make AI-generated text sound human

AI-generated text has recognizable patterns that readers (and AI detectors) have learned to spot. The most common tells: excessive em-dashes, transition words like “Furthermore” and “Moreover”, generic closers like “I hope this helps”, and vocabulary choices like “delve”, “leverage”, and “landscape.”

This tool uses a dual-engine approach: statistical analysis (perplexity, burstiness, sentence entropy) to catch AI-like uniformity, plus 80+ pattern rules that identify specific fixable phrases. The combined humanness score is more accurate than either engine alone.

For Claude users: the /ghost prompt code strips most of these patterns automatically. Add it before any text you want Claude to rewrite in a more human voice. It’s one of 120 tested Claude prompt codes that change how Claude responds.

This tool works for text generated by any AI: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Jasper, or any other language model. The patterns are universal because they come from the same training data distributions.
